Lump Sum Disability Benefits

After 365 three hundred sixty-five consecutive days of Total Disability, the Company will pay to the Insured Person a Lump Sum Disability Benefit shown on the Schedule of Benefits less any Optional Monthly Disability Benefits already paid, if any.

Optional Monthly Disability Benefits

After 90 consecutive days of Total Disability, the Company will pay to the Insured Person Monthly Benefits equal to 1% of the Lump Sum amount chosen for a maximum of nine (9) months. Thereafter, this Policy will pay the Lump Sum Disability Benefit, less any Optional Monthly Disability Benefits already paid.

Accidental Death Benefit

An Accidental Death Benefit will be paid by the Underwriters to the Insured Person if the Insured Person dies due to a covered Accident in an amount equal to the Lump Sum Disability Benefit listed on the Certificate of Coverage. Death must occur within the first twelve (12) months of accidental event. This Policy will pay either the Lump Sum Disability Benefit or the Accidental Death Benefit, but not both, less any Optional Monthly Disability Benefits already paid, if any. These two benefits are not cumulative.

Return of Premium Benefit

This policy will pay You a Return of Premium Benefit if the policy has been in force for ten (10) consecutive years. The Return of Premium Benefit will be the Original Premium paid less any Claims Paid, multiplied by fifty (50) percent. After the policy has been in force for at least twenty (20) consecutive years, the Return of Premium Benefit will equal one-hundred (100) percent of the Original Premium paid less any Claims Paid.

Eligibility

  1. Be no more than 65 years old as a new Applicant
  2. Not be a permanent resident or de facto permanent resident of the U.S.A.
  3. Meet this certificate's Active Provision and Effective Date requirement.
  4. Be less than 69 years old.
